“GET LOW”

2 years ago I was one of 800 extras that showed up for the final dramatic scene in the movie “Get Low.” Of course I only hoped to be able to pick myself out in one of the overall shots as I was told my shirt was too white and the camera would pick me out too well. The wardrobe lead didn’t want me to be up close to the camera, avoided using me at first and finally got me an overcoat that would be suitable.
My wife and I watched for me and I was prepared to take out the microscope and search the DVD for the zeros and ones that would eventually be depicted as the small white spot that the camera would certainly be attracted to. Little did I know, until just the other day, that I was able to pick myself out! In fact, I recognized the woman on the screen and then rewound the video to see why she was so familiar to me. Wait! That’s me beside her! Oh yeah,! I had to shave my goatee since it was a period film!
WOW! I’m in a movie! Cool!
So, go rent “Get Low”. It’s a great film with a wonderful storyline. It has many wonderful actors in it including Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Bill Murray and Lucas Black in addition to me!
